Terms governing our service relationship with merchants and customers. Last updated: January 2024.
๐ General Terms
- Merchants must provide accurate recipient details for all shipments.
- SNT Express is not liable for delays caused by incorrect addresses or inaccessible locations.
- Prohibited items include flammable materials, illegal substances, and uncrated live animals.
- Parcels exceeding 20kg require prior arrangement and may incur additional charges.
- SNT Express reserves the right to open and inspect any suspicious parcel.
- Accounts with fraudulent activity will be suspended immediately.
๐ณ COD Policy
- COD amounts are collected in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) only.
- Settlements are processed within 24โ48 business hours after successful delivery.
- Failed COD collections due to customer refusal are charged a return delivery fee.
- Merchants must maintain a valid bank account for settlements.
- Maximum COD value per parcel is LKR 500,000.
- Disputed amounts must be reported within 7 days of settlement.
๐ฆ Damage & Loss
- SNT Express provides basic coverage up to LKR 5,000 per parcel.
- High-value items must be declared and insured at the time of booking.
- Claims for damaged or lost parcels must be filed within 48 hours of delivery.
- Fragile items must be clearly labelled; improper packaging voids coverage.
- Approved claims are settled within 14 business days via bank transfer.
๐ Service Modifications
- SNT Express may modify these terms with 30 days notice to active merchants.
- Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance.
- Merchants may terminate their account at any time with written notice.
- Outstanding balances must be settled upon account closure.
